PROCEDURE
A specially filtered, visible light is passed through the skin into the growing hair. The light is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair and is converted into heat. This heat then destroys the hair follicle, painlessly, without any burning of the surrounding skin. This treatment works only on hair that is in the growth phase. Since about 20% to 30% of hair follicles are actively growing at every stage and may be a few weeks between the individual cycle phases, we offer several treatments for permanent hair removal (approximately 6 treatments).

WHAT BODY PARTS CAN BE TREATED?
With the IPL hair removal treatment, a smooth and silky skin can be achieved, overall, in all areas of the body.However, we don’t treat the genital area.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TREATMENT?
After the first treatment, reduced hair growth is immediately visible. After each subsequent treatment, during the 8th and the 21st day, treated hair will fall out gradually. During the treatments, the hair will grow thinner and thinner.WHAT SHOULD YOU DO BEFORE AND AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Three weeks before treatment: Do not use epilation, waxing or plucking. No bleaching of the hair. No hair removal cream(s). Only shaving.
One day prior to treatment: The hair must be shaved very carefully the day before the treatment in the areas that will be treated.
After treatment: You can go back into the sun immediately.
CAN ALL SKIN AND HAIR TYPES BE TREATED?
With this new system, for the first time, the treatment of blonde hair and sun-tanned or brown skin is now possible. From very light to dark skin, from blonde to dark brown hair, it's all possible. After an initial consultation, we choose the individual treatment methods that are best for you.
HOW OFTEN AND AT WHAT INTERVALS MUST THE TREATMENT BE MADE?
Depending upon skin type and the rate of hair growth, six treatments are necessary for best results. For legs and armpits, we recommend treatments for eight weeks. For body hair and facial hair, four weeks of treatments are sufficient. This resting phase is important, since we would otherwise flash the same hair generation twice and you would, thus, need more unnecessary treatments.
IS HAIR GONE FOREVER?
In principle, the answer is "yes," because the hair root dies. However, since some hairs survive in a dormant, resting phase, it's possible that after about two to five years a "sleeping" hair generation may grow back. This "new" generation of hair can be removed very easily with one or two treatments.
